Well... I'm that kind of person you can always trust and talk to. I'm a calm guy and I try to always be there for everybody. I'm not a conventional geek... But I really love video games. I also like sports and martial arts. I like to go out to meet new places that I've never seen and eat in restaurants that I never tried before.

If I had to describe myself in one word it'd be diverse. I have a knack for math. Once a subject interests me I tend to study it until I know a great deal about it. I change my main focus in life from time to time but still take care of my previous obligations.

Currently I'm learning how to play the guitar, how to speak/read/write Arabic, diagnose/fix cars, write database type programs, and I'm brushing up on my physics. I'm learning a few different martial art disciplines currently: jujitsu, muay thai, boxing, and capoeira. I'm trying to shape my own Jkd style.

I've been a rapper/vocalist in a moderately successful band. We traveled in the tri-state area and Windsor Canada; played to empty rooms at worst and 1,000 people at best. I like watching and practicing breakdancing. I'm a pretty good cook but I've still got a lot to learn. I've been a photographer and an actor on and off since I was 8. Cinematography and the quality of acting are the two things I value most in a film. I'm a pretty big movie buff and I love discovering new music artists. I've had a passion for climbing since I was born. These days I express it through parkour. I love snowboarding! I've been out west a few times and I wish I grew up there simply because of the powder(and the view;). I like trying new things. I love to expand my knowledge whatever the subject may be. I loath those that are content with ignorance. I like to get to know new people.

I have worked in health care most of my life. I am divorced, and have an almost 13 year old daughter who lives with me. My mother also lives with me, she has emphysema, and is in remission from lung cancer and I am her sole caregiver. I am very family oriented and take my responsibilities very seriously in life, caring for my family and friends. I'm always there when a friend needs me. My mom is in remission now and she is my babysitter when I work or go out and about. I enjoy hockey, in fact I'm watching the wings as I type this. Well, my name's Paris and I work at TCF Bank, been a teller for almost 3 years now. I would like to meet unique individualities (made up word, and I'm TM it), I think in the pursuit of happiness, friends can be made if we're not meant to be. Hmm my "ideal match" would be someone that has a good sense of humor and can deal with my off the wall humor, someone that doesn't offend easily because I rarely censor myself. Well, I love to watch the Red Wings and played hockey growing up. I still get on the ice every once in a while, but not as often as I'd like. I've been in the Marine Corps\\ reserves as an infantryman for 4 years, which includes a deployment to Iraq. That was a quite a unique experience, although I could have done with more sleep.

I used to read a lot and I'm getting back into it again now that I have more spare time lately. Calvin & Hobbes counts as reading right?

I really hate these summary things. Is it even possible to summarize who you are? Whatever, I'll give it a shot anyways.

My favorite ways to have fun are just hanging out and watching some movies or having some friends over. I usually enjoy having a chill, relaxed afternoon more than a high-energy wild one. People tend to think I'm smart because I enjoy deep discussions and use big words from time to time. I have an odd sense of humor that some people think is hilarious while others just don't understand. I enjoy doing quite a few different things, and I'm pretty much willing to try almost anything at least once. I'm also a pretty ambitious person despite not really knowing exactly where I want to go in life (although I'm in medical school now).

I would say I'm pretty laid back and generally try to have a care free attitude. I'm the quiet type that typically finds myself at home on a couch rather than in a smoky bar... but that certainly doesn't stop me from getting some drinks on occasion.

I also enjoy going to a museum or art show, and attending concerts or listening to live music in small cafes/bars.

I am an optimistic person. Life is too short to not enjoy where you are, where you've been, or where you're going. I believe in the little things in life. Some people get too caught up in the big picture that they miss what's important in life - the everyday things we take for granted. Everything happens for a reason, (I don't mean to sound cliche) but each moment is something for us to learn from even down to the mistakes we make and the misfortunes we encounter.
